What performance measures or outcomes are used to assess the effectiveness of Game On Initiative cohorts delivered by Cause Collective, PikPok, and TupuToa, and what are the latest available results against those measures?

Answer
The Ministry's four-year outcome agreement with The Cause Collective (TCC) to deliver the Game On Initiative includes performance measures relating to participant placements, industry and studio partnerships, school engagement activities, participant satisfaction, and retention in employment. The agreement also includes annual milestones, reporting requirements, and evaluation checkpoints to assess progress. TCC is funded as the lead delivery partner and is responsible for coordinating programme delivery, including student recruitment, school engagement, industry relationships, and connecting participants with opportunities. PikPok, Tupu Toa, and the New Zealand Game Developers Association (NZGDA) are supporting partners with the Cause Collective and contribute industry expertise, networks, and employment pathway opportunities. Current results show recruitment and school engagement activities are underway, industry partnerships have been established, and six gaming studios have committed to supporting the initiative. Participant placement, retention, and satisfaction results are not yet available as the programme is in its early stages.
