Answer

Due to a clerical error, a response for a different written parliamentary question was incorrectly lodged with the House Office in reply to 5310 (2026). A correction has now been supplied to the House Office. I am advised that the Ministry of Education has: • undertaken a thorough Privacy Impact Assessment and progressed Certification and Accreditation processes so that both information and technology are well managed • engaged with kura throughout the development of the tool, including a dedicated trial period, to ensure the Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool (SMART) reflects the realities of teaching and learning in Māori medium settings. The project is working towards delivering in line with my expectations.
