On how many occasions, if any, during the 2025 calendar year did each agency for which the Minister has responsibility suggest to a requestor that a fee would be charged for providing information requested under the Official Information Act and for each instance what was the cost suggested, the reason for the charge, and the date of the request?

Answer
I am advised that Police does not centrally hold or record Official Information Act requests for which a charge has been applied or proposed. The time and associated cost in obtaining this information are not, in my view, justifiable. However, I understand it is a very rare occurrence that a charge is applied or proposed. In regard to the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), none. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Question 3749 (2026).
