Answer

I regularly request and receive advice on a range of topics. In the interests of transparency, MBIE regularly publishes lists of briefings and reports provided to my office on its website, including for the Small Business and Manufacturing portfolio. These can be accessed on https://www.mbie.govt.nz/about/open-government-and-official-information/release-of-information/lists-of-ministerial-documents-by-portfolio/small-business-and-manufacturing. Among the advice I have received was a briefing prepared ahead of a meeting with the Motor Trade Association. That briefing included general discussion of issues relating to right to repair and consumer choice within the automotive repair sector.
