Answer

H5 bird flu has been detected in New Zealand. I am advised that the Department of Conservation prioritises threatened species for H5 bird flu vaccination based on disease risk, population size, and dependence on intensive management. The Department has worked with partners to ensure delivery capacity is in place. Further information about the H5 bird flu including the vaccination campaign please see the DOC website https://www.doc.govt.nz/our-work/wildlife-health/avian-influenza/
