Answer
For projects between November 2023 to June 2025 that were assessed as no longer proceeding as originally planned, I refer the Member to the attached table provided by Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities. Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities undertook a review of its delivery pipeline to ensure it delivers the best value for money while targeting areas of greatest need. As a result of this review, some projects will not proceed in their original form. Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that while these projects were assessed and a decision was made to not progress with them as initially planned, it is important to note this doesn't mean development on these sites will never proceed. The projects may be re-designed to achieve best value for money or other options for the site considered, including using the home as is, renovating the home, or selling an older home and replacing it with a new home elsewhere. For projects following the June 2025 delivery pipeline review, I refer the Member to WPQ 8729 (2026).
