What advice, if any, has he received on the revenue KiwiRail would forgo, if any, were all freight movements on the Auckland metro rail network moved outside weekday peak periods?
Answered by
Rt Hon Winston Peters
List MP · NZ First · Minister for Rail
Answer
The question assumes a slight shift in train movements results in foregone revenue. We have received no such advice as optimising the timetable is a common occurrence for a rail freight operator and leave that sort of detail to the accountable executives to manage.
