Answer

During the 2025/26 financial year, five individual acquisitions of sensitive land were completed under residential standing consents, with a total value of approx. $39.3 million and a combined land area of 5.05 hectares. This is for transactions that have settled and been reported to Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). This does not include transactions that have not yet been notified to LINZ. During the 2025/26 financial year, one transaction occurred under a purchasing programme. These are historic partial consents that LINZ is required to action. This transaction was included in the 230 applications. Information about this transaction is confidential as it relates to a personal home.
