The $40 million Events Attraction Package is intended to support showstopper events that attract large audiences and international visitors, such as major sports, music and cultural events. The one-off Events Attraction Package is expected to be completed by mid-2027. MBIE is continuing to negotiate events and opportunities under the Events Attraction Package. As these negotiations are ongoing and subject to commercial considerations, and then final confirmation by contract, I am unable to provide information about allocations from the overall fund.
