Answer

The Government is still assessing Head Start proposals. Transition costs will be determined in the detailed design phase. In December 2009, the government provided Auckland Council with a $94.1 million loan for the Auckland Transition Agency's transition work and establishing a new IT system. This loan was repaid by November 2011.
