I refer to the conversation noted in question 35140. Since that date, I am advised that an official at MFAT has taken a meeting with the Chinese Embassy at Political Counsellor-level on 4 August, at the Embassy’s request, on an unrelated matter. Refer to the response to WPQ 35122 (2026).
