Answer

The 16 transactions under the exemption from farm land advertising criteria relate to exemptions granted from the advertising criteria. As these related to exemptions, the properties generally were not advertised. Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) does not hold data relating to the number of these properties which received an offer from a person who was not an overseas person, if any. The 16 applications for exemptions referred to were granted. No applications for a farm land advertising exemption were declined or withdrawn in 2025/26.
