How many whānau, if any, had been accepted into Whānau Ora services but not yet allocated a navigator, as at 30 June 2026; and how does this compare with the same measure as at 31 October 2025?

Answer

I am advised that Te Puni Kōkiri does not require Whānau Ora Commissioning Agencies to report waitlist data and therefore, does not hold information on the number of whānau on a waitlist as at 16 June 2026. I am advised that Whānau Ora Commissioning Agencies do collect data on individuals who are engaged in the Whānau Ora service and are waiting to be allocated a navigator. The most recent data available to Te Puni Kōkiri is as of 28 February 2026, 213 individuals were engaged in Whānau Ora and were yet to be allocated a navigator.
