Answer

I am advised that the Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT) will be taking over the lease for space currently occupied by the Ministry of Education and part of another lease for space currently occupied by the Treasury within 1 The Terrace. The combined annual rent for this space is approximately $6.5 million. The Agreement to Assign Lease from the Ministry of Education to MCERT is expected to go into effect on 1 November 2026. The remaining lease term ends in 2028. The Agreement to Partially Assign Lease from the Treasury to MCERT is expected to go into effect on 1 November 2026. The remaining lease term ends in 2031.
