What amount, if any, is budgeted for make-good, reinstatement or exit costs at premises vacated by the Ministry for the Environment, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development or the Ministry of Transport as a result of their merger into the Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT)?
Answered by
Hon Chris Bishop
Member for Hutt South · National Party · Minister responsible for RMA Reform
Answer
I am advised that the former Ministry of Housing and Urban Development had a budget of $856,000 in relation to exit costs of premises which will be vacated. $130,000 of this relates to make good provisions which existed before the creation of the Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT). The other foundation agencies of MCERT have no set budget for make-good, reinstatement or exit costs.
