Hon Chris Bishop

Answer

I am advised that most items planned to be repurposed from other agencies for use by the Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT) are considered ‘end-of-life’ by these agencies and have no remaining book value. The Ministry of Education has estimated a book value of around $4.6 million for leasehold improvements which will be left at 1 The Terrace for use by MCERT. The NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi provided furniture items with approximately $83,000 of remaining book value that was managed through the Government Property Office in the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
