Since 2019/20, the only allocation from the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) to the Queenstown Lakes District Council, Central Otago District Council or Otago Regional Council was $1.3 million provided to the Queenstown Lakes District Council in 2025/26 for the installation of six public toilets.
