Answer

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) has advised me that the current whole of project forecast (June 2026) is: $260.7M. However, to date, no budget increase over the approved $250m has been sought. The forecast additional cost of $10.7m closely aligns with allowances for remaining risks and contingency within the programme funding and could reduce as the project progresses. The project completion date was scheduled for April 2028, and NZTA is still on track to complete construction on or before that date.
