Answered by

Hon Todd McClay

Member for Rotorua · National Party · Minister for Trade and Investment

Answer

For Invest New Zealand, none. For New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), none. Note, NZTE was involved in the establishment and incubation of InvestNZ which was stood up from 1 July 2025. Costs associated with this were covered from baseline funding and no external consultants were utilised. (note: some short term contractors were used for legal and HR advice) For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, I refer the Member to the Minister of Foreign Affairs response to WPQ 34753 [2026].
