How much, if any, is budgeted to be spent in the 2026/27 financial year in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, on consultants who advise on public sector reform management or similar?
Answered by
Hon Chris Bishop
Member for Hutt South · National Party · Minister responsible for RMA Reform
Answer
As the Minister Responsible for RMA Reform, I have responsibility for the Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT), which was established on 1 July 2026. The initial MCERT budget included $750,000 for costs related to an operating model review. This will cover a broad range of services, including contractors and consultants.
