Answer

Since the release of the Government Policy Statement on Land Transport 2024, the estimated cost of the Roads of National Significance programme has increased as projects have progressed through business case, design and pre-implementation phases and more detailed cost information has become available. NZTA's current estimated funding envelope for the Roads of National Significance programme is between $43.3 billion and $52.3 billion. These estimates will continue to be refined as projects progress and further information becomes available.
