Answer

Former Ministers may retain a self-drive vehicle for up to 14 days after ceasing to hold a ministerial warrant for administrative purposes while VIP Transport arranges collection. Since 27 November 2023, one Minister has retained a self-drive vehicle beyond the approved 14-day period. The self-drive vehicle was retrieved 16 days after the Minister ceased to hold a ministerial warrant. VIP Transport were unable to retrieve the vehicle in the 14-day timeframe due to competing priorities.
