Answer

I am advised that the Ministry of Justice purchases Copilot licences through the government’s Microsoft Cloud, Software and Services Agreement. I am advised that the following Crown Entities purchased artificial intelligence tools: • The Electoral Commission has twice used existing contracts to procure AI tools. • The Criminal Cases Review Commission has procured a small number of Microsoft CoPilot licenses through its ICT vendor for 1 year. • The Human Rights Commission has purchased a small number of licences for Microsoft Copilot. As these licences form part of its existing Microsoft technology stack, no separate formal procurement process was undertaken.
