Answer

EA: As an Independent Crown Entity, the Electricity Authority is not mandated under the Carbon Neutral Government Programme. The Authority does measure and report on its greenhouse gas emissions via its Annual Report: https://www.ea.govt.nz/documents/8633/Annual_Report_202425.pdf EECA: "EECA has budgeted $4,655,000 for 2026 in grant funding related expenditure for existing contractual arrangements under Carbon Neutral Government Programme (M037). There is no budget for new activity. EECA also budgeted $5,500 for the 2026 calendar year to comply with the Carbon Neutral Government Programme as an organisation."
