Answer

I am advised by NZTA that an agricultural vehicle may need two permits from NZTA for access to the state highway network that NZTA is the road controlling authority for (an overweight and overdimension permit). The maximum number of permits, including local road controlling authority jurisdictions, will depend on the specific journey (how many local road controlling authority jurisdictions it passes through) and the requirements of each of the local road controlling authorities.
