Answer

Yes. Vehicle condition is checked and the odometer reading is recorded when a vehicle is returned to VIP Transport. Where damage is identified, an insurance claim form is sent to the relevant Minister for completion and VIP Transport manages the claim. Any repair costs are recovered through the Crown vehicle insurance process, noting that all Crown vehicles are insured by the Department of Internal Affairs.
