What is the risk, if any, that an LNG import facility at Port Taranaki will affect public access to recreational spaces?

Answer
I am advised that any impact on public access to recreational spaces will depend on the final design and operational requirements of the selected LNG import facility. Having said that, I am advised that based on the assessments to date, it is unlikely that risk management zones around the LNG facility will impact access to Ngāmotu Beach, the Lee Breakwater, or the surrounding community.
