What part, if any, will the Teaching Council play in the Ministry of Education’s review of Initial Teacher Education standards?

Answer
The Teaching Council has been involved in the early stages of the review of the Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programme requirements, including initial discussions with the reviewers during the discovery phase and providing feedback on early draft materials. Further work will be subject to the outcome of Phase 1 of the review.
