What is the estimated cost of the Dublin Street rail overbridge in Picton, how much, if any, is Marlborough District Council contributing, and has that contribution been contractually confirmed?

Answer

KiwiRail is still in progress on this so we cannot provide specifics, however the cost is in the low tens of millions like other overbridges around the country. Marlborough District Council is not contributing. There will be $10 million as set aside by NZTA many years ago, with the balance paid by KiwiRail as part of the Government’s $1.704 billion appropriation.
