Answer

I am advised that the position of Chief Advisor Assessment – Mātauranga Māori is a newly created position. The role provides strategic and specialist leadership to embed mātauranga Māori, Te Ao Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations across NZQA’s assessment systems. The role ensures assessment policy, design, and delivery recognise and uphold Māori knowledge systems, support credible and equitable outcomes for ākonga Māori, and supports integrity of national qualifications and assessment.
