Question

  • What evidence supports the Government's statement that centralising digital procurement could save up to $3.9 billion, and how much of that saving, if any, is attributable to the Government App Programme?

Answered by

Hon Paul Goldsmith

List MP · National Party · Minister for the Public Service and Digitising Government

Answer

The estimated savings were informed by evidence from other jurisdictions and further validated by the financial modelling underpinning the Digital Government Target State. The estimations did not attribute any savings specifically to the Government App Programme.
