Answer

I receive regular reporting from Health New Zealand on the progress of the Interim Inpatient Units. I was aware there were challenges with the Waikato location, and that Health NZ had conducted extensive due diligence to validate the confirmed site. This Government is focused on delivering practical improvements to the health system after years of underinvestment in hospital infrastructure.
