Answer

The foundation agencies that preceded the formation of the Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT) had budgeted the following amounts for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP) in the 2026/27 financial year: Environment: $419,752 Housing: $16,341 Local Government: $5,400 Transport: $6,263 Total: $447,756 MCERT is still in the process of fully merging and resetting budgets for a unified Ministry, so the figures provided are not necessarily representative of the final 2026/27 budget for the CNGP.
