Answer

I am advised that at times, the Ministry of Social Development’s (MSD) phone lines have seen an increased demand that its technology has not been able to keep up with. When callers find it difficult to get through, they will be played a message advising that MSD are experiencing high call volumes and to try again later. At this point, their call may be disconnected. Due to the current call centre technology, this information is not recorded or stored.
