  • What checks, if any, does the Ministry of Social Development undertake before cancelling, suspending, reducing, or stopping a benefit for missing documentation, to confirm whether the client has uploaded the requested documents through the online portal?

Answer

I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) that the ability for clients to upload documents into MyMSD is not available at all times. If a Case Manager has requested documents from a client, the Case Manager makes this function available to clients and later checks for this information to be submitted. Once a client notifies MSD that they have uploaded requested documents, MSD can process these documents at any time.
