Where a Kāinga Ora property identified for sale is occupied, Kāinga Ora works directly with the tenant to relocate them to another suitable Kāinga Ora home that meets their housing needs. Properties selected for sale are generally those that no longer meet current or future social housing requirements, with sale proceeds reinvested in new or upgraded social housing stock.
