How much, if anything, did Kāinga Ora pay in real estate agent fees for state houses sold in 2025/26 and how does that breakdown by region?

Hon Chris Bishop
Member for Hutt South · National Party · Minister of Housing
Answer
Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it paid $9.09 million in real estate sales commissions in 2025/26. While Bayleys is the preferred supplier on a national basis there is no exclusivity in the agreement and therefore other agents may be used. I refer the Member to the attached table by region provided by Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities.
