Food Standards Australia New Zealand has received nine novel food applications over the last three years to amend Schedule 25 (Novel Foods) of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code: • three have been approved/gazetted; • one has been rejected; • three were withdrawn during the administrative assessment stage and were not publicly notified; and • two are under assessment.
