Answer

The results of the Housing Services effectiveness target are considered alongside performance across all 11 performance measures. I am advised that any adjustment to a Regional Commissioner's performance assessment would depend on the specific circumstances. Where a target is not met, the Ministry considers the factors contributing to that result, including whether there were reasonable operational steps that should have been taken to ensure the correct processes and procedures were being followed. Performance is not adjusted solely because a Housing Services effectiveness target was not achieved. Rather, any impact on a performance assessment would be determined in the context of overall performance and the circumstances of the case.
