Answer

This is an operational matter for the Teaching Council. I am not informed of decisions it makes to approve initial teacher education providers and programmes. These decisions are made by the Teaching Council, in conjunction with New Zealand Qualifications Authority for non-university programmes. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 3238, 3239,3240.3244, 3245, and 3246 (2026).
