Answer

I am advised by the Ministry of Education that Te Rito Maioha received School Onsite Training Programme (SOPT) funding for 42 primary initial teacher education places in 2025. In 2026 they received funding for 81 primary places and 12 Māori medium places. All initial teacher education providers applied for SOPT places according to their capacity.
