What questions, if any, are asked of prospective directors of Crown entities in the media portfolio about current or intended political party membership, candidacy, or activity, as part of the appointment due diligence process?

Answer

I am advised that no specific questions regarding an individual's intent to stand for Parliament are asked during the due diligence process for Crown board appointments. It is expected that any such intention be disclosed at the time of declaring interests, particularly where these may be perceived, potential, or actual conflicts of interest.
