Answer

Work to remove level crossings at Takaanini and Glen Innes is being progressed as one priority package. The total cost to deliver the Takaanini and Glen Innes level crossing replacements is expected to be $815 million, funded jointly by the Government and Auckland Council. In early 2025, NZTA confirmed $200 million in funding for the first three years of this work.
