Answer

The Phase Two SH29 Tauriko (wider scope) project includes route protection, consenting, strategic property acquisition, design activities, and technical investigations for the wider Tauriko West corridor improvements. The Phase One SH29 Tauriko (Ōmanawa Bridge) project is a separate construction project to replace the existing bridge, including associated road realignment and intersection improvements. It is being progressed ahead of the wider Tauriko project because the existing bridge is nearing the end of its service life.
