Answer

Route protection is already complete for stages 3 and 4. The 2021 Single Stage Business Case recommended staged delivery: the western section (Airport–Manukau via Puhinui) in the next decade, followed by the eastern section (Manukau–Botany) between 2036 and 2047, subject to Auckland RLTP and 30-Year Plan priorities and funding.
