Answer

I am advised that the incoming Kāinga Ora Board Chair sought guidance from the Public Service Commission in connection with the potential departure of the Kāinga Ora Chief Executive. The Commission provided advice to the Chair that focused on ensuring the Board understood its obligations as an employer, including seeking independent legal advice, and to ensure compliance with guidance issued by the Commission and other relevant oversight agencies.
