Hon Chris Bishop

Member for Hutt South · National Party · Minister of Transport

Answer

As Minister of Transport, I am responsible for NZTA, which advises that its total spend on the Carbon Neutral Government Programme in the financial year 2025/26 was $387,400. In my capacity as Minister of Transport, I am not responsible for any other departments, agencies, Crown entities, or other bodies. The Member may be aware that I was previously responsible for the Ministry of Transport. That responsibility ended when the Ministry of Transport merged into the new Ministry for Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport (MCERT). Responsibility for MCERT now sits with the Minister Responsible for RMA Reform.
