Answer

I am advised that the Ministry of Health does not specifically budget for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP). These costs are met from the Ministry's baseline budget. I am further advised that for the 2026/27 financial year, Health New Zealand has budgeted for a 1.5 full-time equivalent role and an operating budget of approximately $120,000 to cover CNGP direct costs (including emissions reporting software, specialist consultancy support, and independent third‑party assurance).
