Answer

In my capacity as Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). I am advised that for the 2022/23 financial year, DPMC spent $154,364 on remuneration of Crown appointees of bodies it administers. In addition, the remuneration and expenses for the Commissioners of Intelligence Warrants are determined by the Remuneration Authority as set out in the Intelligence and Security Act 2017. For the 2022/23 financial year, the actual spend is published in the annual report of DPMC on page 50: https://www.dpmc.govt.nz/sites/default/files/2023-11/dpmc-annual-report-2023-v2.pdf
