Answer

I am advised that Police’s Next Generation Critical Communications spent $93,780 on remuneration for its Crown appointees during the 2025-26 financial year. Only the Board Chair and Independent Board members are remunerated. Chief Executives are non-paid members by virtue of their position. Please note this figure does not represent a 100 per cent Crown appointee attendance rate due to a Board vacancy. This figure also reflects the establishment of a Crown appointed Interim Governance Board responsible for the establishment of the SafetyNet Crown Company. Remuneration includes reading and preparation time leading up to the meeting as well as attendance at the meetings and out of cycle papers. There was no remuneration spent on Crown appointees in the Serious Fraud Office.
